Dr Bavanandan Naidu Gopal is currently attached to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar, Malaysia as a Consultant Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist and Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
He had completed his undergraduate training at UKM and postgraduate training at USM hospital. He held a position of a Honorary Fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine for a year at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne in 2004 and was gazetted as Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist under Ministry of Health, Malaysia in 2009.
He was the President of the Perinatal Society of Malaysia (PSM) for the term 2013/2014. He currently holds the position of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Sub Committee Chairperson in the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM).
